Our mission is to bring people to the FULL knowledge
of who they are in Jesus Christ through the Word of God.
Victorious! That is the life we are called to live. Our ministry is to reveal the covenant rights of believers expressed in God’s Word. To educate and empower families to overcome all obstacles of life by placing God’s Word first. Our desire is to teach individuals how to operate in the biblical principles of faith, love, healing, prosperity, redemption, and righteousness. By doing so, we are equipping the Church to receive tangible results from the Word of God and enabling members to be a witness of God’s redemptive power.

OUR VISION
The Vision of West Coast Word Church is centered around John 10:10 (AMP); “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].”
Pastors Aaron and Angie desire to reveal the goodness of God from every platform. Due to a lack of knowledge, the world has a distorted view of God. When the uncompromised word of God is preached with faith, the character of God as a loving Father is made known .
This church is commissioned to teach God’s people their covenant rights and to show them how to walk in the Blessing of the Lord. The heart of West Coast Word Church is to be an ever-increasing local church with a global impact. The Pastors have heard from the Lord to not only continue to expand and grow a healthy church, but also to charter a school and radio station to further spread the Gospel to the world. To train the saints of God to walk in the fullness of God’s promises and win the world to Christ!
OUR HISTORY
West Coast Word Church began when the Holy Spirit prompted Pastors Aaron and Angie to start a bible study in their home, attended by family and close friends. As the bible study steadily grew, the future direction for their ministry unfolded. The Lord spoke to Pastor Aaron to begin three things, a church, a radio station, and a school. The purpose of each would be to boldly teach God’s children the uncompromised Gospel, unveiling the powerful truth of who they are in Christ. To teach them their covenant rights and privileges as children of God. To reveal that through the Word of God, they are equipped to live victoriously in this present world.
The first meeting of West Coast Word Church was in a 900 square foot space on Resurrection Sunday 2002, with 48 in attendance. Our Church Body has grown steadily as we continue to follow the urgings of the Lord. Pastors Aaron and Angie received their ordination in May of 2002 during a service led by Pastor Kurt Owens.
OUR PASTORS
Pastor Aaron Derksen attended Trinity College from 1990-1992; he then continued his education in Professional piloting at St. Pete College from 1993-1995.
Pastor Angela attended Trinity College from 1990-1993 and continued her education at Southeastern College. They have been in ministry since the early 90s as youth pastors and in music ministry.
