Thank you to all my faithful followers (and fake bots who followed me - no thanks to you guys) for reading this blog for a long time. They'll find every settings option for their Nikon D3100 listed, along with advice on why they should use--or not use--each adjustment. The "Stokes Field Guide to the Birds of North America" (2010) by Donald and Lillian Stokes, slightly bigger than Geo and quite a bit heavier, was another leap forward for the photographic guide.

We have a new Neighborhood Bird Project site that needs volunteers! This is probably why many birders own several! Audio recordings are generally excellent, with a high level of coverage. I used this book when I was a child and still consider it as one of the best. The text though brief, is concise and helpful covering shape, varieties in plumages, habitat and voice. AIDGAP guides are designed to allow non-specialists to identify plants and animals in the field. Illustrations: While John Muir Laws is a very talented artist, his drawings can sometimes seem a little more hastily done, with colors or shapes just slightly off from what one would expect for a given bird.

That matched 36 birds and included my Black-capped Chickadee. Bring it along to the beach, or on a coastal hike. Second, if you tap the 'Add a Sighting' icon from any Bird Detail screen, that bird will appear populated on the Add Sighting screen already, you do NOT need to scroll through the list of birds again. You might think that kids need a “beginners” guide. There are also a fair amount of line drawings in the text as well, which helps. It's a great way for anyone to learn about the birds in your state.
